Royal Biographer Angela Levin has praised Princess Charlotte for her appearance at Trooping the Colour on Saturday, as the young royal attended alongside the Wales family for the King’s official birthday celebrations.
The nine-year-old Princess supported her mother Princess Kate, as she returned to the royal spotlight after spending six months away to receive cancer treatment.
Charlotte wore a sailor-inspired navy blue dress as she accompanied her family in the carriage procession, standing in front of her mother on the balcony for the final appearance of the day.
Discussing Princess Charlotte’s efforts at the royal event, biographer Levin told GB News that the young Princess was “extraordinary” in her role throughout the day, and praised her for taking care of both her brothers and her mother.

In conversation with Nana Akua, Levin said: “Princess Charlotte went with it very well. Charlotte is an extraordinary child.
“When they were coming back, she was wiping the windows so that everyone could see, with her hand getting rid of the rain. She’s fantastic. And she was waving to both sides.”
Noting the moment Charlotte “told Louis off” for joking around during the event, Levin said she was “having a great time” in caring for her family.
Levin added: “She was having a great time and she looked after Louis. She told him off when he was doing a little jig at one point, and when he wasn’t sitting properly and she kept calling him to order and it was absolutely hilarious.

Levin suggested that Charlotte’s efforts to look after her brothers at Trooping the Colour was to “look after her mother” in her first public event since her cancer diagnosis.

Levin told GB News: “I think she was doing that on her mother’s behalf so that her mother can be there. She adores her mother, so she just really wants wants to help out.
“George is fine. He just sat there, but I thought it was it was very moving to see them as a family again.”
When asked about the lineup of royals on the balcony, Nana noted the “slimmed down” monarchy present to watch the RAF flypast.
Levin agreed, revealing: “What was interesting on the balcony was that it wasn’t a load of royals there. No Eugenie, no one like that. And there were nine adults and three children, which is very small.

“I thought that’s probably because they don’t want to get too close to too many people because Catherine and Charles are too vulnerable.”
Praising Princess Kate for her return to public life, Levin noted that the royal is an “amazing woman” and looked “stunning”.
Levin told Nana: “Princess Catherine looked absolutely stunning, she looked beautiful in that outfit. She’s doing it for the family.
“I thought, what an amazing woman, that she actually puts other people before her own wishes.”
