Princess Charlotte is “very popular” thanks to Princess Kate and Prince William’s “normal” parenting, a royal source has claimed.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 41, are reported to be “hands-on” parents with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, who all attend Lambrook School in Windsor.

Sources have claimed that Kate and William take part in all the school activities, including “queuing for the tombola”.

The future King and Queen tend to discreetly attend things like carol concerts and will almost try and fit occasions around their royal schedules.

The source explained: “The day after Kate’s carol service [at Westminster Abbey], it was the school Christmas fair and they were all there, as they were the previous year.

“I saw them queuing up for tombola tickets like everyone else.

“They really act like a normal mum and dad.”

Royal fans have often commented on the couple’s down-to-earth parenting style after seeing George, Charlotte and Louis behaving well at public events.

According to the source, all three Wales children are popular at school.

They also told Hello!: “They’re lovely kids. Charlotte is so kind and friendly and the other children adore her.

“She’s kind to the kids in younger years and she’s very popular.

“George seems like a nice boy, too, and little Louis just has so much energy.

“If William and Kate ever can’t make a sports match, their nanny goes along and spends most of the time running around the edge of the pitch after Louis.

“He’s a typical little energetic five-year-old.”

The family of five lives in Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate.

King Charles often resides nearby at Windsor Castle and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh live a stone’s throw away at Bagshot Park.
