Princess Beatrice has “landed comfortably” with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi amid the current inheritance row, according to royal insiders.

Prince Andrew has lived in his home Royal Lodge since 2003 and is keen to leave the property as an inheritance for his two daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.

However, it was widely reported earlier in the year that King Charles was keen for his younger brother Andrew to downsize and move into Frogmore Cottage, the former home of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

It is unlikely that will happen, given that the Duke of York, 64, has found the money to stay at Royal Lodge, according to Sir Michael Stevens, the keeper of the privy purse.

The duke convinced Palace authorities to let him stay living at Royal Lodge as he can now cover the costs himself, according to claims in The Times.

Andrew proved he has sufficient funds from legitimate sources, though it has not been confirmed where the money is coming from.

An inside source has claimed that despite the royal drama, Princess Beatrice, 36, has “landed comfortably” with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Beatrice married Edoardo, who stems from Italian nobility, in 2020 during a small service in Windsor.

The source told Woman’s Day Magazine: “Even though Beatrice has landed comfortably by marrying into an Italian aristocratic family, it’s mortifying to have Andrew decimate the family’s fortune and reputation.

“She desperately wants to be formally put on the royal roster and if that means distancing herself from her father, then so be it.”

According to the insider, Princess Beatrice has sided with the King amid Andrew’s crunch talks with the monarch.

They added: “Beatrice knows her future lies in the hands of her uncle, not her dad.

“Bea has another baby on the way so it’s all about the future and moving forward.”

The Princess of York and Edoardo currently live in a property based in The Cotswolds with their daughter Sienna, three.

Edoardo also has an eight-year-old son named Wolfie from his previous relationship with American architect Dara Huang.

When the couple travel to London, Beatrice and Edoardo stay in an apartment based in St James’s Palace.
