Princess Anne is an “absolute asset to her brother” as King Charles is set to undergo hospital treatment, a royal author exclusively told GB News.
The Princess Royal performed the most number of engagements out of anyone in the Royal Family last year, and has already undertaken the first foreign royal tour of 2024.

Prince William is expected to step back from public duties while he supports Kate throughout her recovery period.
Meanwhile, although it hasn’t been confirmed that Queen Camilla will follow suit, it is more than likely that she will offer lots of support to the King during his recuperation.
According to Gareth Russell, a royal author, Princess Anne will continue to carry out large numbers of engagements to support the Royal Family during this time.
He exclusively told GB News: “Princess Anne is an immensely popular royal for a reason.
“She represents for a lot of people an older royal attitude, the one that her grandmother or her mother or her grandfather would have had, which is ‘Just get on with it’.
“And in that sense, people respond generally positively to her. You can see it in her approval ratings.”
According to the latest YouGov poll, Princess Anne was the third most popular royal by the end of 2023, following her late mother Queen Elizabeth II and Prince William.
Russell added: “Also, people like to see the close sibling relationship between her and the King.
