Prince William’s ‘older brother’ figure in the Royal Family is ‘supporting’ him amid Kate’s cancer.
Princess Anne’s son has been helping the Prince and Princess of Wales through the family’s health troubles, according to a source.
Peter Phillips has been in the spotlight recently following his split from his “rock solid” girlfriend of three years.
But now a source has shed light on the relationship that Phillips has with his cousin, the Prince of Wales.

As children, Phillips, 46, and William, 41, would spend time together at the late Queen Elizabeth’s royal residences.
In more recent years, the pair regularly attend the same events including Trooping the Colour and the Royal Family’s annual Christmas Day walk to St. Magdalene church in Sandringham.
Speaking to the Telegraph, a “friend” of Phillips said that he was trying to “support the Prince and Princess of Wales through Kate’s cancer diagnosis”.
They said: “He’s always been that sort of slightly older brother to William…ever more so since Harry moved to America.”

Phillips praised William and Kate during a recent interview with Sky News Australia reflecting on the princess’s character.
He said: “She’s remarkable in herself…Her and William make a fantastic team together.”
He also spoke fondly of the royal couple’s children telling Caroline Di Russo: “Their kids are great and they have the balance of public life and trying to be parents to three young children which is always difficult.
“They’ve got it pretty right because I think as history has taught us and anyone knows that actually, you want to be there for your children.”

Another friend said that Phillips has been going through a “pretty tough time” following the death of both his grandparents.
A source noted the effect of losing the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip who had been “such massively important role models in his life” in a short space of time.
They said: “Pete’s always been required to be the sensible one; the eldest grandchild making sure things go smoothly. He always takes a pragmatic view on things, like his mother.”
And now, Phillips is going through a breakup with his girlfriend Lindsay Wallace, whom he had been dating since 2021.

A friend of the couple told Hello!: “It obviously came as a shock as most people thought they were absolutely rock solid.”
They also said that Peter’s work commitments meant he was always travelling saying: “Peter and Lindsay made the difficult decision to separate as they were spending less time together with work and family commitments.
“Peter has been travelling all over the world and has been incredibly busy and Lindsay is based up in Scotland, so it’s been hard for them to see each other.”
Phillips shares two children, Savannah, 13 and Isla, 12 with his ex-wife, Autumn Kelly.
