Prince William and Prince Harry’s teary-eyed reunion depicted in an AI-generated image has racked up thousands of likes on Facebook.
The image was one of eight fake pictures appearing to show the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales together at King Charles’s Coronation in May.
The images accumulated more than 78,000 likes on the social media platform.
Full Fact found that the pictures were originally published in a blog post where the author explained that they had used an image generator to “imagine a heartfelt reconciliation” between the brothers.

In reality, the brothers were not pictured directly together during the King’s Coronation.
Prince Harry attended the landmark event on his own as Meghan Markle chose to remain in the US with their two young children Archie and Lilibet.
The Duke of Sussex was relegated to the third row in Westminster Abbey where he sat alongside other non-working members of the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex released his autobiography titled Spare in January and it contained multiple attacks on his brother.
Omid Scobie, a royal author with links to Meghan and Harry, claimed in his book Endgame that William ignored his brother on the day Queen Elizabeth II died.
Prince Harry and the Prince of Wales are not currently on speaking terms.

Scobie wrote that Harry repeatedly tried to contact William regarding travel arrangements to Balmoral.
The royal author adds that Harry was left to fend for himself and secure his own transport to Scotland as his brother did not respond to multiple text messages.
Endgame has been criticised for being overly sympathetic to Meghan and Harry while containing scathing criticism of senior royals including William and his wife Kate, the Princess of Wales.
