Prince Harry and Prince William have issued separate statements to mark the milestone 25th anniversary of the Diana Awards.

The royals congratulated the winners of the awards set up in their mother’s memory.

William penned a heartfelt letter whilst Harry recorded a video message for the virtual ceremony.

In his letter on Kensington Palace notepaper, William praised the “extraordinary” recipients for their “kindness and compassion”.

The Prince noted that “my mother… would be immensely proud of you.”

William acknowledged that the “world can feel an uncertain and unfamiliar place”.

He commended the winners for breaking through barriers to “make positive change” in society.

Harry’s video message, which is set to play during Thursday’s virtual ceremony, emphasises his mother’s enduring influence.

The Duke highlights global challenges, stating: “No matter the challenges we face, whether it’s climate change, mental health or systemic injustices.”

Harry emphasised that “my mother’s belief in the power of young people to drive positive change continues to inspire me.”

Both princes highlighted how Diana’s legacy lives on through youth making a positive societal impact.
