Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “reticent” to discuss their latest move as the Sussexes are “set for change”, a royal commentator has exclusively told GB News.
In October, it was reported the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had bought a holiday home in Portugal to bolster their relationship with the UK.
Prince Harry, 40, previously said he would “never” bring Meghan back to the UK out of fear for her safety.
But a home on the European continent would enable their children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, to be able to spend some more time closer to their father’s side of the family.

The Sussexes are not the only royals who own a Portuguese property. Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, own a home in the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club.
This luxury development of 300 properties is by the sea in Melides, south of the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.
Brooksbank, 38, works in marketing and sales for CostaTerra.
Princess Eugenie, 34, and her two sons, August, three, and Ernest, 17 months, split their time between Portugal and London due to Brooksbank’s job.
GB News contacted the Sussexes’ representatives at the time regarding the reported purchase but received no response.
Gareth Russell, a royal commentator, spoke exclusively to GB News to suggest why Harry and Meghan are not speaking publicly about their Portuguese bolthole.
He said: “Portugal may be something they’re planning to keep more private because they have been quite reticent in talking about it at all.
“Whereas the Montecito purchase was fairly public. But who knows?

“Whether they go private or public with the new Portuguese residence will be a good indicator of where they’re going in terms of how public or private they’ll be going forward, and whether it will be a change to what we have seen in the past.”
A spokesman for the Sussexes confirmed in January last year that they had been asked by the King to give up their former British home, Frogmore Cottage.
The King’s move followed the publication of Harry’s highly controversial memoir, Spare, in which he criticised members of the Royal Family including his stepmother, Queen Camilla, and his brother and sister-in-law, the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Frogmore Cottage was gifted to the Sussexes by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2018, shortly after the couple were married at St George’s Chapel, Windsor. Officially, however, the Crown Estate owns the property.
