Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “inundated” with commercial offers for 2024, a business expert has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have had a difficult year, with the fallout over Harry’s memoir Spare and Omid Scobie releasing his controversial book Endgame.

Entertainment expert Mark Boardman claimed a “Hollywood comeback” was on the cards for the couple in the next 12 months.

He said: “With multimillion-dollar deals in place for multiple book deals and ownership of publication rights to a novel, besides running the Archewell Foundation, the Sussexes are actively shaping their narrative and are certainly not waiting for something to happen.

“I know from years working in the media that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be inundated with various offers to attend events and support good causes.

“This is in addition to being receipt an array of collaborations to speaking engagements that all would equate to a full-time role.

“2024 holds the potential for a more positive year for the Sussexes financially, with more money rolling in, no matter what they choose to focus on.

“Winning back more public support and being more open will create more opportunities.”

He also told The Express: “Strategic choices, open communication, and focusing on impactful projects will play pivotal roles in their ongoing journey.”

Royal commentator Gareth Russell argued that Meghan and Harry’s reputation was “damaged” by the end of 2023.

He told GB News: “The Hollywood Reporter article on them was pretty damaging to their prestige.

“To be listed as one of the most prominent losers in the showbiz industry of 2023 will have done them no favours in terms of generating interest or support or of course, donations to Archewell. All of that is linked to the celebrity world.”

With regards to the upcoming year, Russell said: “The Sussexes’ critics have said that the majority of their attention seems to be on rebutting stories like whether or not they were invited to the Duke of Westminster’s wedding, rather than engaging in more positive stories.

“So I would imagine if the Sussexes return to their charities with the focus they’ve shown before and to other projects, 2024 could be a year where they help turn around some of the public opinion for them.

“But I do think it has to be a different tactic going forward than what we’ve seen in recent years.”
