The Prince and Princess of Wales are set to treat their three children to special activities in 2025, following a “frightening” experience during their mother’s illness, according to a royal commentator.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis faced a challenging 2024, as both their mother Princess Kate and grandfather King Charles announced their cancer diagnoses.

The royal children showed remarkable support throughout Kate’s chemotherapy treatment, which she completed in September.

Royal author Ingrid Seward told Hello! that the Princess of Wales will “spoil” her children in the coming year.

“It’s very frightening for children when their parents are that ill, so I think they will be up for a few treats this year,” Seward explained.

According to the commentator, the Wales family may embark on a skiing trip during the Easter holidays.

Seward also suggested they are likely planning “a big summer holiday”, noting the family did not travel abroad last year.

These special trips come as Princess Kate continues to recover from treatment.

The royal author, who penned the book “Royal Children”, noted that William and Kate are careful about their children’s public exposure in the digital age.

“They know they must produce the children at certain times, but I think they very much keep them under wraps the rest of the time,” she said.

Steward suggested that the three royal children share an exceptionally close bond, strengthened by their shared experiences and similar ages.

“These kids have a much more ordinary and informal life than their predecessors because they’re not surrounded by nannies and staff; they’re very much with their parents,” Seward explained.

The royal commentator highlighted how the siblings are united by their unique situation, noting “they all enjoy sports” and are “all in it together”.

Their lifestyle marks a departure from traditional royal upbringing, with William and Kate taking a more hands-on approach to parenting.

This strong family bond is expected to continue supporting them as they look forward to their special treats in 2025.
