A fresh parcel delivery scam message is circulating, as criminals attempt to garner personal details such as an address.
In a scam message seen by GB News, the text claims to be from both Royal Mail and Post Office.
It proceeds to claim they could not deliver a parcel due to a “missing address”.
The message then encourages people to reply and go on to click a link which has been provided.

There are several spelling errors within the communication, which could suggest it is not from the legitimate brands.
The message reads: “Royal Mail: Post Office – We regret to inform you that we are unable to deliver your package due to a missing address.”
It then states “update address” followed by a website link.
The text continues: “(Please reply Y, then exit the text message and open it again to activate the link and open it in your Safari browser.Or reply T and return the package to the merchan.”(sic)
Royal Mail advises people against clicking on any links of suspicious texts or emails.
There are many variations of this type of Royal Mail scam, including a text which claims people must pay a £2.99 shipping fee to collect their parcel.
However, when victims click on the link provided, they are taken to a fake website which aims to steal personal and financial details.
Another con claims there is a package that needs to be rescheduled and requests the recipient presses on a link that’s provided.

However, this takes people to a scam site, which asks for payment.
A Post Office spokesperson told GB News: “Royal Mail and Post Office are two different companies and Royal Mail is responsible for delivering mail.
“Therefore, Post Office will never advise that it cannot deliver an item.
“This is a definite scam message and it should not be opened or actioned.”
