One of Britain’s biggest and most popular cruise lines has announced its 30th birthday celebrations – and it’s good news for fans of ’90s boy bands.
Marella Cruises has announced its headline acts for its birthday sailings with live performances from Fleur East, Boyzlife – comprising Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden – and La Voix.
The special sailings across the fleet of five ships will begin on May 1 and will also include live Q&A sessions from Eddie the Eagle and Anthea Turner.
Marella Discovery 2 will be at the heart of the festivities in Palma, where singer and radio presenter Fleur East will set the tone with some of her best-loved tracks, including Uptown Funk and Sax.
Customers can also look forward to a live Q&A with Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards as he shares stories from his 1988 Winter Olympics experience.
On Marella Explorer, also departing from Palma, guests will see a performance from BoyzLife, the supergroup featuring former Boyzone and Westlife members Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden – the boyband combination will take to the stage with the biggest hits from both bands.
This sailing will also feature a live Q&A with Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards discussing his life story and journey to becoming one of the world’s best-loved Olympians.
Marella Voyager is preparing for a full-scale birthday celebration at sea, headlined by Strictly Come Dancing and Drag Race favourite La Voix.

La Voix, a British drag performer and singer, will be performing on the Marella Voyager
La Voix will be entertaining guests with her signature powerhouse vocals, musical numbers and classic showstopping tunes.
Over in Limassol, Cyprus, Marella Discovery will be tuning in to a live Q&A with Anthea Turner, who will share highlights from her presenting career across British loved TV shows such as Blue Peter, GMTV and Wish You Were Here.
Guests will all enjoy special events onboard, such as a Birthday Gala, Party Like it’s 1996 parties, quayside celebrations, 90s trivia quizzes and TV box sets from the 1990s.
More headline acts for both Marella Explorer 2 and Marella Discovery will be shared in the next couple of months.

Prices for the 30th birthday sailings start from £1,305 per person.
