A spellbinding new Harry Potter ‘Wizarding World’ is being added to a holiday hotspot in the Middle East in a major expansion of the popular franchise.
Warner Bros. is bringing the theme park attraction to Yas Island, located in Abu Dhabi, with a sign spotted on site confirming Phase 2 plans for development.
Yas Island, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the UAE, is renowned for its diverse mix of leisure and entertainment experiences, such as epic theme parks, thrilling motorsports, concerts, and top-rated shopping and dining options.
This new addition will be the first Harry Potter-themed land in the Middle East, and is being developed in partnership with Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment.
While an official opening date is yet to be announced, construction is already underway, according to the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi website.
The new land will co-exist alongside six immersive lands at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, which is set to include Gotham City, Bedrock, and Cartoon Junction.
It will feature iconic locations from the Harry Potter films, and will utilise ‘next generation storytelling and creativity,’ reports review website, Back To The Movies.

The project will be the fifth global installment of a Harry Potter-themed park after Florida, California, Beijing and Osaka.
The expansion plans will no doubt create considerable competition for the likes of Universal, which announced it will open a sprawling new theme park in the UK.
The Bedfordshire resort is hoped to bring in 8.5million visitors in its first year alone – after it opens its gates in 2031.
The attraction will be one of the largest and most advanced theme parks in Europe, with a 500-room hotel and a retail and entertainment complex planned along with the theme park.
