The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has named its House of the Year as a sizeable property in Tottenham, London.
It is made with sustainability in mind and it has been compared to a greenhouse with its unusual design.
The property features five bedrooms and has been described as a “domestic greenhouse”.
Its description states: “Green House creatively reimagines a typical terraced house, replacing an existing property down an alleyway, on a confined urban plot.

The award-winning ‘Green House’ was designed by Hayhurst & Co.
The terraced house is tucked away in a busy part of London and features high ceilings and lots of open space inside.
It measures 189m2, with a staircase in the middle of the downstairs open plan room.
The cost of the design has not been shared, but RIBA described it as being “built on a very tight budget”.
It added the winning home is an “inspiring example of what can be achieved with a creative and ambitious approach to design”.
It said: “The excellent collaboration between architect and client and the slowdown imposed on the project by the Covid pandemic, have resulted here in an extremely well-considered home.
“[It] is not only ultra-practical and architecturally exciting, but also highly innovative from a sustainability perspective.”

The property has a lot of natural light and has been rented out for photoshoots.
RIBA voted for its House of the Year by finding a “one-off” house designed by an architect in the UK.
