Phillip Schofield has returned to the limelight on social media for the first time since May 2023.
This time last year, Schofield and This Morning were rocked after he admitted to lying about an affair with a younger colleague on the show.
Rumours were also rife that he and co-host Holly Willoughby were in the midst of a reported feud.
Schofield briefly returned to screens after his This Morning exit to conduct an interview with the BBC’s Amol Rajan where he discussed the fallout of the scandal.
A year on, Schofield has felt now is the time to return to the spotlight and shared a snap of his pet pooch, Alfie.
In a snap, Alfie can be seen watching the Formula 1, which Schofield joked about in the accompanying caption.

“Thankfully, Alfie is a big @f1 fan,” Schofield penned to his 2.8million Instagram followers along with some loved-up emojis.
Fans didn’t get the chance to welcome him back to the platform as comments have been limited on the post.
Schofield has also limited who can see the number of likes on the post, although the Mirror reports former This Morning colleague Josie Gibson is one of those to like the post.
Keith Lemon actor Leigh Francis also reportedly showed his approval by liking the update, according to the publication.
Following Schofield’s exit from This Morning, the ITV show faced claims of harbouring a “toxic” working environment and prompted an external review of the saga.
The report was published in December 2023 and determined there was “no finding” of a toxic culture at the show and that ITV had made “considerable efforts” to find out the truth of Schofield’s relationship with the younger member of the team.

However, that all changed in February 2024 when Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were unveiled as the new faces of the daytime staple.
The revamp hasn’t gone without its hiccups, however, with viewing figures reportedly underwhelming since Shephard and Deeley took over.
