Pensioners are breaking down in tears at food banks as they struggle with heating costs and food insecurity, according to a charity worker.

“Some of them break down in tears because they don’t know what to do next,” he told GB News.

McGranaghan explained that many people are unaware of available support, with some going without food for a day before seeking help.
