Oprah Winfrey called Meghan Markle her “neighbour friend” after the Duchess of Sussex sent her a £54 gift.
Speaking in a video this week, US TV presenter Winfrey revealed that Meghan, 43, had sent her a Tatcha Hinoki skincare set, which she dubbed one of her favourite things.
Speaking about the gift on video, Winfrey, who famously interviewed Meghan and Harry in 2021, said: “I love it because it was sent to me by a neighbour friend, Meghan Markle.
“She sent it with a forest awakening book because she knows I love trees.”

The gift set retails for £54 on the UK website, which is a bargain compared to buying the products individually, which would total at £74.
The set includes the Hinoki Body Wash, the Hinoki Body Milk, and the Hinoki Body Oil.
The description says: “Awaken the senses and calm the mind with our hinoki-infused body care.
“Gently cleanse and exfoliate, nourish, and lock in moisture for soft, smooth, refined skin.”

Meghan and Winfrey have been connected since 2018, with the TV host being a guest at the Sussexes’ Windsor wedding that year.
Their friendship then made headlines after Meghan sat down with Winfrey for a bombshell interview in 2021, in which she spoke out about her experience in the Royal Family for the first time.
The interview contained many allegations against the royals, including that conversations were had about the skin colour of Meghan’s son Archie, and that Princess Kate had made the Duchess of Sussex “cry”.
Since the interview, Meghan and Winfey have been seen multiple times together, including at a local bookstore near their Montecito neighbourhood, where they both live.
It is reported they both visit one another’s homes, which are just five minutes away from one another.
Winfrey is also believed to be involved in the lives of Harry and Meghan’s children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
Before Prince Archie was born in 2019, Winfrey said she would give the young royal “enough books to last a lifetime”.
