Rabbitohs star Jai Arrow’s heartwarming marriage proposal has been accepted by his girlfriend Berina Colakovic during a romantic post-season holiday in Italy.

On Tuesday, Arrow confirmed he’d popped the question to his partner, sharing multiple photos after he got down on one knee on the dazzling Amalfi Coast.

The Souths back-rower shared Colakovic’s post, which was captioned: ‘Grateful to have found my forever person, I love you so much. YES.’

The post, which included photos of Arrow proposing and the engagement ring, prompted a flood of comments congratulating the pair.

‘Congrats fam,’ posted teammate Cody Walker.

Sports broadcaster Danika Mason posted a series of love heart emojis, as did her footy star partner Liam Knight.

Arrow has established himself as one of the toughest players in the sport, playing the majority of the 2024 NRL season with a badly injured shoulder that required surgery.

The selfless footy star delayed getting the joint operated on because of an injury crisis at his club.

‘He epitomises what it means to be a good teammate,’ skipper Cam Murray explained this season.

‘He always says his biggest fear is letting his teammates down and he shows that every week.’

The Souths workhorse made headlines in 2021 after he breached Covid guidelines while in Origin camp.

Colakovic shared a post to social media announcing the happy news

He was dumped from the Maroons squad and fined $35,000 after he brought a woman into the Queensland camp on the Gold Coast.

Arrow’s ex-partner, former Miss World Australia Taylah Cannon, unfollowed the star after the news broke and it was revealed the woman in question was a ‘dancer’.

Arrow afterwards admitted he was aware of the rules and was remorseful for his actions in a statement released by Queensland Rugby League.

‘I know I have let a lot of people down, including my teammates, coaching staff and fans right across the rugby league community,’ Arrow said.

‘For this I am truly sorry. I have fully cooperated with the NRL Integrity Unit, and I understand the scrutiny and criticism coming my way.’
