A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in the village of Jampada in the Indian state of Odisha, after officials received reports of an elephant that had fallen into a 5-foot abandoned well on October 10. The elephant, which rangers said was in critical condition, was struggling to escape. Thankfully, help arrived just in time.
