Brenda Blethyn has exclusively opened up about saying goodbye to the character of DCI Vera Stanhope while at this year’s National Television Awards.
The actress will return to screens in ITV’s Vera one final time after enjoying 14 years in the titular role.
Unfortunately for Blethyn, Vera missed out on bagging the Returning Drama gong at this year’s NTAs as Netflix’s Bridgerton emerged victorious.
