A train company has said services will be disrupted because it cannot find enough conductors to work on Sunday.
Trains from stations in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cheshire will be affected.
Northern said journeys may take longer and be less frequent, and that there would be cancellations and alterations to the timetable.
“The underlying reason is train crew availability, in particular on Sundays which is contractually outside of the working week,” a Northern spokesman said.
