Rail services in north-west England have been disrupted following a lack of train crews, the Northern rail operator has said.
Services from stations in Manchester, Chester and Preston will be affected throughout Sunday.
A Northern representative urged commuters to check journey schedules before travelling.
The firm said last trains of the day “may be earlier than usual and may be cancelled at short notice”.
