Nigel Farage has reflected on an astonishing year which came off the back of a stint in the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle.
In an astonishing turn of events, Nigel found himself at the forefront of UK politics once more by defying the odds and leading his Reform Party to five Parliamentary seats at the July General Election.
But a more “important” moment sticks in Nigel’s head as the highlight, he said on his Farage at Large: Christmas Special tonight on GB News.
“For me, 2023 was a big year. I was debanked by Coutts, part of the NatWest group, and they thought I would be too embarrassed to go public”, he said.
“Well, they picked on the wrong bloke, didn’t they? I then started this year having come fresh from the jungle. It was quite an experience.
“I started the year incredibly thin and detoxed. Perhaps for me, the most important part of the year wasn’t to do with GB News or politics, believe it or not.

“It was the birth of my two grandsons, Harrison and Sebastian. That was a special moment. They have got a bit bigger since the summer.”
Nigel went onto reflect on the political upheaval sparked by his decision to stand as an MP at the July General Election and take over the Reform reins from Richard Tice.
“I don’t know what it was, but Rishi Sunak decided to go for this early election”, he said.
“I thought, ‘what do I do? Is it really time to get involved in politics?’, I did it.

“I was also really thrilled, for the second year in a row to get TV News Presenter of the Year from the TRIC Awards. Something voted on by the British public.
“The growth of GB News, the fact we’re way ahead of the woke Sky News, which has become virtually unwatchable and the patronising BBC, I think on this channel you get both sides of the debate.
“Often it’s very passionate. We don’t bar anyone or believe in censorship. We think the audience at home are big enough and ugly enough to make up their own minds.
“The success GB News is a revolution in broadcasting in this country.”
The Reform leader was recently in America meeting tech mogul Elon Musk in his latest political move.
Speaking on GB News, Nigel disclosed that Musk has not ruled out providing financial support to his party.
“He’s already given me considerable help, reaching disaffected communities who frankly feel there’s no point in voting for anybody,” he said.
The former UKIP leader noted that Musk “genuinely fears that the country is going down the tubes.”
During the weekend meeting, he expressed particular interest in Musk’s role in Trump’s electoral success.
“What really fascinated me were the margins by which Trump won in key swing states and the person behind that was one Elon Musk,” Nigel said on GB News.
He spent time studying Musk’s strategy for voter registration and turnout.
“Just to get them to agree with you or like you on TikTok, that’s enough. You’ve got to get them registered, you’ve got to get them to vote,” he explained.
