Nigel Farage was finally picked for another Bush Tucker Trial in I’m A Celebrity on Saturday night, as he was made to participate in a gruesome drinking challenge.

The GB News host, known for his love of a pint of beer, was given six rather different blends to down in the Australian Jungle as he and former champion boxer Tony Bellew took part in “Down Your Sorrows”.

While Bellew appeared somewhat perturbed by viewers requesting he participate in the challenge, Nigel was delighted to finally be taking part after several days of missing out in the public vote.

Dec asked: “Nigel, why do you think the public have chosen you today?”

Responding, Nigel admitted he has been left stunned by how few trials he had done so far.

He said: “I don’t know. I’ve been surprised I haven’t been picked more during the week to be honest with you. So, here I am.”

Earlier this week the 59-year-old let slip that he was hoping to participate in as many Bush Tucker Trials as possible.

Speaking to food critic Grace Dent during Tuesday’s episode of the show, Nigel explained he wanted to do more trials in order to reach “a new audience”.

“If you do the challenges, it’s 25 per cent of the airtime. I’m looking at reaching a whole new audience,” he told his camp mate.

Finally getting his wish as he took part in Saturday’s trial, Nigel was forced to sink six stomach-churning drinks in front of his fellow contestants.

His drinks were: blended pigs’ nose, blended crocodile feet, blended cows’ anus, blended goat testicles, fermented duck egg, and blended snails.

While Nigel downed many of the drinks in one, he found a couple of them a bit harder to stomach.

Struggling with the fermented duck egg, the former MEP described he mix as: “Utterly repulsive.”

Despite the foul-taste to each drink, both Nigel and Tony Bellew drank all 12 concoctions put in front of them, winning 12 stars for camp.

So far, Nigel’s hope to have the most airtime on TV appears to be paying off.

New research from The Sun suggests that heading into Saturday’s episode, the GB News presenter had the second highest amount of airtime of the whole show so far.

Nigel’s 57 minutes on screen was only beaten by YouTube star Nella Rose who had spent 63 minutes on TV.
