Super Bowl LIX is still about three months away, but some NFL fans are convinced they already know how the game will go.

Over the weekend, a ‘script’ for the game was shared on social media, claiming that the Chiefs are set to beat the Lions 54-50 on February 9.

The picture, which appears to be in the format of a sports score from Google, suggests that the Lions will finish the regular season 16-1 and the Chiefs an undefeated 17-0.

And though there is no evidence of the graphic being a legitimate ‘script,’ some fans found the high-scoring affair to be plausible.

‘This would be awesome for the lions but they better change that script so they win,’ one said.

‘Lowkey not impossible,’ a second fan said.

‘This would be possibly the best Super Bowl of all-time,’ a third added in response to Total Pro Sports re-sharing the graphic.

However, others were less convinced that they’d really see Detroit and Kansas City combine for 104 points.

‘No team is scoring 54 on the Lions,’ one fan said.

‘Yeah if this was the Chiefs from 2018 or 2019,’ another added.

Despite Patrick Mahomes and Co.’s undefeated start to 2024, they have just the 11th-best scoring offense in the league at 24.3 points per game.

In fact, they’ve reached 30 points just once this season, and needed overtime to do so as they beat the Bucs in a Week 9 overtime clash.

The Lions, meanwhile, moved to 8-1 on Sunday with 26-23 comeback over the Texans.

Detroit is allowing just 19 points per game through nine contests and also has the best point differential in the league at +113.

The teams are not set to play in the regular season, so the only way they could cross paths in the coming months is in New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
