Netflix has dropped key details ahead of the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new series.
The five-episode docuseries titled POLO has been executively produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
It features a behind-the-scenes look at the world of polo, a sport close to Prince Harry’s heart.
The programme will be released on the streaming platform on December 10.

Netflix said regarding the series: “Through fierce rivalries and intense training, viewers will get an unprecedented glimpse into the dedication and skill required to compete at the sport’s highest level.”
They added: “From a young player pushed to his limits by his demanding father, to a former golfer who’s made significant sacrifices for the love of the sport, to the father-son duo widely regarded as the greatest players of all time — they all face intense personal and professional challenges as they vie for the coveted title”.

However, it has been nearly two years since its release in December 2022 and the couple have only produced one other project for Netflix.

A source has claimed that Harry will not feature heavily in the upcoming POLO programme.
Instead, it will centre around Harry’s close friend, polo player, Nacho Figueras.

A source told the Mail: “Any reasonable person tuning into a show about polo made by Prince Harry would expect Harry to take a starring role.
“That he’s not is hugely disappointing for Netflix. Let’s face it, polo isn’t exactly a mainstream sport so the attraction would have been watching Harry. Without him, it’s marginal at best.
“The Netflix deal expires next year, so the Sussexes need a big hit. This sounds like a big nothing burger.”
Another insider said: “For a show about a sport of kings, polo barely features any royalty. It’s not the Harry show, it’s the Nacho show.”
