Promoted Tamworth will face relegated Sutton United at The Lamb when the 2024-25 National League season gets underway on Saturday 10 August.

Last season’s other relegated English Football League side Forest Green Rovers resume life back in the fifth tier for the first time since 2017 with an away trip to Aldershot.

The other promoted National League North side Boston United get going with a home game at home to Rochdale.

They are two of five games between former EFL teams – as Halifax host Barnet, financially troubled Southend United play York City and last season’s National League South winners Yeovil Town entertain Hartlepool United.

The other promoted National League South side Braintree start with an away trip to another former EFL side Oldham Athletic.

AFC Fylde play last season’s beaten National League play-off finalists and twice Wembley losers Solihull Moors.

Altrincham host Woking, Dagenham & Redbridge face a ‘east-west London derby’ with Wealdstone, FA Trophy winners Gateshead, denied the chance to win promotion because of their ground, host Ebbsfleet United and Maidenhead United host another mid-table side from last season Eastleigh.

Following a late Easter, the season will end on a Monday for the first time – on 5 May, the Spring bank holiday.
