BBC Strictly star Nadiya Bychkova has issued a not-so-subtle swipe at her ex-partner and fellow pro dancer Kai Widdrington.
The Ukrainian dancer, 35, made the dig a central part of the promotion for her upcoming 2025 solo tour: ‘An Evening with Nadiya’.
Bychkova had a short run on this year’s Strictly with celeb partner Tom Dean after they were the first couple to be eliminated.
The 35-year-old continued dancing on the show as part of the weekly group professional numbers. This included performing with Widdrington, 29, despite their frosty split earlier this year.
When asked about her former beau, Bychkova admitted: “We work together but we are not friends and that’s okay.”
“One thing I can tell you is that when you see me dancing with him it will be amazing because I’m a professional,” she added, speaking to The Mirror.

Now, the Ukrainian has issued a further barb at her ex – including it as a central theme in the promotion for her 2025 solo tour.
In the announcement post, Bychkova wrote: “Don’t forget… ‘Sometimes in life you need a partner… sometimes you’re enough on your own’.”
The mantra also featured in a sumptuous trailer accompanying the post, with the text appearing on screen while the pro dancer slowly closes a door on the viewer.
In the promotional video, Bychkova is seen strutting around a lavish home and the streets of London in a stunning grey gown.

The Strictly star is seen taking selfies with members of the public before the chilly dig is seen on screen, accompanied by her voice over.
In the announcement post, Bychkova called Saturday’s Strictly finale “incredibly special”.
During the show, the 35-year-old shared the floor with her ex and the other pros as they danced to a performance from Raye.
The UkraInian began dating Widdrington during the 2022 series of the hit dancing program.
However, the two-year romance came to an end earlier this year with a seemingly frosty relationship now existing between the two.
“I really connect with her music,” she wrote, adding how the singer “inspires” her.
Fans shared their excitement with Bychkova in the comments beneath her Instagram post.
One glowed: “Beautiful Nadiya. Sometimes in life you definitely don’t need a man!!!”
“You are enough on your own. I’m coming!” Another wrote.
A third penned: “Great tagline!”
“You are stronger than you know and we are so proud of you! I cannot wait for next year, your tour and all the fabulous things in the pipe line,” a fourth said.
