Searches for holiday homes have increased as Britons look for a permanent base for their UK breaks.

There are many beautiful areas to choose from, whether you are looking for the countryside, a city or a beach.

Research has found the most popular destinations that have seen a surge in online searches. It was shared by Parks Holidays UK.

North Wales topped the list and it has plenty to offer, including clear beaches and open countryside.

The experts stated: “North Wales takes the top spot as the most popular location for a UK holiday home with searches increasing by 583 per cent.

“With the possibility of both vast beaches and mountain walks it’s no wonder this location is at the top of the list.”

Devon took the number two spot. The experts said: “Compiling of seaside towns and the stunning Dartmoor National Park, Devon offers something for everyone. Taking second place on the list, interest in this region has increased by 208 per cent.

“Paignton’s 18th-century harbour with a bevvy of boats and the historical harbour wall are a draw for history buffs and delightful restaurants and cafes make Paignton a haven for foodies.”

Next on the list is Scotland. The country has lots to offer no matter what vibe you are looking for, but it is best known for its awe-inspiring views.

The researcher added: “A rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes are what come to mind when people think of Scotland. The country boasts a diverse range of scenery from rugged mountains to charming villages and vibrant cities.
