Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague broke down in tears whilst discussing how ex-fiancé Tommy Fury’s drinking affected their relationship in her new Prime Video documentary – Molly-Mae: Behind It All.
The 25-year-old revealed she was left “traumatised and hurt” by Fury’s behaviour, particularly during her sister Zoe Hague’s wedding last July.
Hague and Fury split last year and left millions to speculate as to why their fairytale relationship had come to an end.
On Wednesday afternoon, Fury revealed the reason their relationship broke down was due to his excessive drinking – admitting he wasn’t able to be the best partner for Hague.
During the first episode of Hague’s documentary, Hague revealed the breaking point of their issues came during her sister’s wedding.
She explained: “He’s never had an alcohol problem, but alcohol caused problems for us. It got to a point where I wasn’t looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much.”
Molly-Mae and Tommy’s split came just months after her sister’s wedding
Breaking down in tears, Hague revealed she had pleaded with Furyto remain sober at her sister’s wedding celebration.
“At my sister’s wedding, I pleaded with Tommy, like I begged him to not drink and it’s just really sad…” she said breaking down in tears. “I don’t know why I’m crying now.”
The influencer explained how these experiences have damaged her own relationship with alcohol.
In a candid conversation with her mother Debbie, Hague admitted she couldn’t recall a single instance where Fury’s drinking hadn’t led to problems.
Molly-Mae admitted she begged Tommy not to drink during the wedding
“I mean, I actually don’t know any. I really don’t,” she stated when her mother suggested there had been some occasions without incident.
“I feel traumatised by the last couple of months, when I see him, I see all that trauma. I am angry at him and I am very hurt.”
During his conversation with Men’s Health this month, Fury wanted to set the record straight that the cheating allegations were “b******s”.
“The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore,” he admitted.
“Cheating was never a thing. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing.”
The first three episodes of Molly-Mae: Behind It All launched exclusively on Prime Video today, with the remaining three episodes set to release in spring 2025.

The documentary – which was meant to follow Hague and Fury planning their wedding – captures her during her most vulnerable moments as she navigated the breakup while managing her fashion brand Maebe and parenting daughter Bambi.
“It is definitely so much more than a breakup documentary. We talk a lot about motherhood, body confidence, running my two businesses,” she explained.
