Former Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed has been branded a “monster” by the lawyer of one of his victims, after he was accused of multiple rape allegations in a new BBC documentary.

Dean Armstrong KC spoke at the conference, and is representing clients including “most of the survivors” who were in the BBC documentary.

Addressing the allegations in a press conference, Armstrong said: “We will say it plainly, Mohamed Al Fayed was a monster. But he was a monster enabled by a system that pervaded Harrods.

“Those of you who have seen the documentary from last night will know and may well remember very clearly the words of the manager who said the following.

“Anyone who tells you they didn’t know what was going on is lying – I’m going to stress that word of his, lying.”
