Mike and Zara Tindall’s daughter has taken up a sport close to Prince Harry’s heart.

Mia Tindall, nine, is the couple’s eldest child and the first royal of her generation to take up polo.

King Charles was a keen polo player and always encouraged his sons Princes William and Harry to take up the sport.

The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex continue to play polo aged 41 and 39, respectively.

Now, the next generation of the Royal Family has embraced the slightly dangerous sport.

Mike Tindall said: “Mia has taken up polo.

“Hopefully, I can do it with Mia — even though she’s better than me.”

The young royal began riding horses at the age of two, according to her parents.

Mia’s mother, Zara, and grandmother, Princess Anne, are both Olympic equestrians.

Zara even won a silver medal at the London 2012 Olympics for her skills.

Mike and Zara live in Aston Farm on Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire.

They have three children, Mia, nine, Lena, five, and Lucas, two.
