Mike Parry has branded Prince Harry “insensitive” for not using a public appearance to wish King Charles, Princess Kate and Sarah Ferguson well.
The royal establishment has been rocked with health concerns affecting the trio in recent days, leading many to question who will step up in their absence.
Speaking on GB News, Mike Parry criticised the couple’s first public appearance together this year as they opted not to address matters from across the pond.
King Charles is due to go into hospital for prostate treatment, Princess Kate has undergone planned abdominal surgery and Sarah Ferguson has expressed her “shock” at being diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer.
Meghan and Harry made a surprise red carpet appearance in Jamaica for the premiere of the new Bob Marley biopic, leaving some questioning why they didn’t use the opportunity to speak on royal health matters.
“They’re trying to fill up the time with something because they have nothing else to do”, said Parry.
“They are rubbing shoulders with Jamaican politicians who have pledged to break away from the UK and do not want the King as their head of state.”
GB News presenter Bev Turner argued it “doesn’t matter” they were present while royal figures have hospital treatment.
She added: “His Dad isn’t on his death bed, he’s having his prostate checked out.”
“It’s insensitive”, Parry snapped back.
“They seem very reluctant to leave their mansion at the moment, if they’re going to make a trip abroad, why not come here?
“They should have made some approaches to the Royal Family. This would have been a perfect opportunity to have some bridge building going on.”
Bev argued that they are “building their own brand”, which they are “entitled to do”.
