Migrant crisis will ‘completely sink’ Sunak’s chances of hanging on to ‘a couple hundred’ Tory seats, predicts Farage

Nigel Farage has said the migrant crisis is “close to a major escalation” and predicted that the Government’s failure to stop the boats will “completely sink Sunak’s chance of even hanging on to a couple of hundred Tory seats”.

In an explosive attack he also said the Tories under Sunak were heading for the electoral dustbin.

Farage also claimed the Prime Minister was “so weak” that honeytrap MP William Wragg “had to sack himself”.

Speaking on GB News, Nigel Farage said: “Traffickers now carry guns. The French police now carry guns. We’re very, very close to a major escalation in this crisis and all the while you can come to the UK and you don’t get deported, it will continue.

“There is vast money involved, where there’s vast, illicit money involved there will always be violence, always be threats, always be stabbings and frankly, there will always be murderers.

“This is getting worse and it’s getting worse very, very quickly and the French don’t know what to do. We don’t know what to do. And as the good weather comes, which it will, tens of thousands will cross the channel which will completely sink Sunak’s chance of even hanging on to a couple of hundred Tory seats.

“Rwanda has taken a couple of hundred million quid without having to take a single person: What a great trade for Rwanda! Trade of the century. Treat the British government as mugs, take all their money, understand that they’re undermined by the ECHR and Bob’s your uncle.

“We are led by liars and idiots, that’s all I can conclude. This was never, ever going to work. From the moment Boris Johnson, at Lydd airport, announced this plan. It was obvious from day one, all the while we’re part of the ECHR put into British law through the Human Rights Act, this could never happen.

“Wouldn’t it be fun to have a referendum on ECHR membership? I’m quite looking forward to that.

“[Sunak] might do it to try and save his own skin, but it’s too late, because everyone knows this is his last election already, and Labour won’t offer it. It doesn’t matter what Rishi does.

“He’s so weak that William Wragg has had to sack himself because Rishi didn’t have the guts to do it.

“This lot are going into the electoral bin – it’s where they deserve to be.”
