Watch the moment Martin Daubney locked horns with barrister Dr Sam Fowles over whether Palestinians should be allowed to settle in the UK.
It emerged on Wednesday that a Palestinian family of six that fled Gaza had been granted the right to live in the UK following an appeal.
They had applied to enter the country through a Ukrainian refugee scheme, prompting fears many fleeing the war-stricken strip will follow suit.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said the Government was working to close a “loophole” that led to the specific case and blamed the Tories for the legal framework.

Speaking on GB News, Fowles suggested Palestinians hoping to settle in Britain should be allowed anyway.
“Let’s look at the context, what sort of barbaric and inhuman country would send children back to a warzone where children were being killed at the rate of 160 kids a day?”, he asked.

“What sort of barbaric and inhuman politicians would try and make political hay out of that? This isn’t about the human rights of British citizens versus Gazans.”
Martin hit back to say “it is”, repeatedly, pointing out there is no agreement with Palestine like there is with Ukraine.
“It’s never been put to the public and in fact, when Palestinian refugees have been taken to other countries around the world, it tends to end in disaster”, he said.
“We’ve seen this in Denmark in the 1990s. 68 per cent of those admitted went onto have criminal records.
“The British people have a set of parameters and at no point did those parameters agree to letting people in from Palestine.”
Fowles said the defined parameters are imposed via “secondary legislation”, meaning Britons have no say in it at all.
He added: “We haven’t got safe and legal routes set up with Palestine. That’s because MPs, instead of setting this up they decide to politicise this issue and pursue a culture war.
“If legislators had set up a sensible set out routes from Palestine and other routes like Ukraine, white states like Ukraine, we wouldn’t have this issue.”
Martin hit back to say Palestine is “not the same” as Ukraine as the country is led by Hamas, saying many of those who enter Britain could be associated with the terror group.
“They want to eviscerate the Jewish state. We don’t know who anybody is within Palestine. How on earth could we control that? Why should it be our problem?”, he said.
“We spend an enormous amount of time and money vetting these people. What’s stopping us from doing this properly is the fact we have not set up a proper system because politicians and journalists are trying to make culture war points on this.”
