Laila Hasanovich, Mick Schumacher’s girlfriend, has confirmed that they are not engaged – despite a flare of rumours to the contrary.
The Bosnian-born model sent fans into overdrive when she posted a photo of her hand in July, which appeared to show an engagement ring.
F1 reserve driver Schumacher and Hasanovic have reportedly been dating since August last year and many thought they were taking their relationship a step further.
Hasanovic, 24, was a finalist in the 2019 Miss Universe Denmark pageant and has garnered an impressive following of 341,000 on Instagram.
And she has broken her news – or rather lack of it – to fans with another photo of her jewellery, writing on Instagram: ‘and no it’s not an engagement ring u guyssss’.

Some fans felt the need to insist that she is actually engaged despite Hasanovich’s denial
Despite her obvious denial, that didn’t stop some followers insisting that she actually is – perhaps she is lying, they must think, or she isn’t aware.

Mick Schumacher, 25, is the son of legendary driver Michael and is Mercedes’ reserve driver.
In 2021 and 2022 he competed for Haas but was replaced when the American team pivoted to a more experienced line-up, bringing in veteran Nico Hulkenberg to sit alongside Kevin Magnussen.
According to German newspaper Bild, Hasanovich is the only girlfriend Mick has had who has been allowed to to visit father Michael.
The seven-time world champion has not been seen in public since his skiing accident on a family holiday in Meribel, France, in 2013.
Schumacher collided head-first with a rock and while his helmet absorbed much of the impact, the severity of the accident cracked the hard shell and fractured Schumacher’s skull, leading to a traumatic brain injury.
He was placed in a coma, underwent two brain surgeries, and was only deemedsafe to move in June 2014.

Bild says the family are ‘smitten’ with model Hasanovich, who is regularly included in their family plans and was photographed with Michael’s wife Corinna at the FIA World Endurance Championship in Qatar in March.
Hasanovich was born in Bosnia but raised in a small town in Denmark before moving to Copenhagen when she was 19.
Taking to her TikTok channel, the Danish beauty said: ‘If you ask me, I don’t look typical Bosnian, I think I look more Scandinavian, but I have no Scandinavian blood in me, it’s quite funny because I don’t look like my parents at all.’
Hasanovich and Schumacher are often seen soaking up the sun on tropical islands or dressed to the nines at glitzy hotels and restaurants and have even been spotted by fans walking hand-in-hand at a number of F1 races.
The two have never shied away from declaring their love to the world and have been seen enjoying double dates with Mick’s long-time friend, F1 driver Esteban Ocon, and his girlfriend.
Despite her booming presence on social media, Laila revealed that she was such a shy child that her mother sought medical assistance. She said: ‘When I was a kid, I was very shy, I would barely talk to anyone.
‘So, at one point my mum took me to an ear doctor because she thought I was deaf because I would never answer when people talked to me. But it turns out I was just super shy.’
