Actress Michelle Keegan has announced she is pregnant with hers and husband Mark Wright’s first child.
The former Coronation Street and The Only Way is Essex stars have been married since 2015.
Talking to social media on Sunday, the 37-year-old shared the big news with her followers, who were quick to congratulate her.
Sharing a snap on Instagram of herself and Wright, also 37, the Fool Me Once star captioned the post: “2025 is going to be a special one for us…” along with a baby emoji.
The expecting parents were last seen in public on December 22 with Wright’s former Towie co-star James Argent and his new girlfriend at The Ivy.
Concealing her bump, Keegan wore a long beige coat complete with a red scarf, while Wright sported a grey jacket.
It didn’t take long for the couple’s fans and former co-stars to excitedly share congratulatory messages, with many swooping to the comments section.
Keegan’s former ITV soap star Georgia May Foote penned: “Omg congratulations to you both.”
Kelsey Parker added: “Congratulations, amazing news.”
James Argent wrote: “I love you and I’m so happy for you both, Your going to be amazing parents.
I can’t wait to be [an] Uncle.”

Another shared: “Love this. you’ve both always had so many comments and pressure from the public to have kids sooner, but you stayed true to yourselves and accomplished so much together and now it’s time to enjoy your new chapter. normalise following your own path and not adhering to the societal norms/ pressures of when or if to have children!”
A fifth commented: “Buzzing for absolute strangers. shocked as if it were a bestie announcing. congratulations,” while a sixth added: “Amazing, congratulations.”
The news comes a year after Keegan starred in hit Netflix drama, Fool Me Once, which went on to become one of the streaming platform’s most-watched shows.
The Mancunian actress started her acting career in ITV’s Coronation Street, where she played Tina McIntyre for six years.
She left the soap in 2014 before starring in BBC’s Our Girl.
In a candid 2019 interview, the actress admitted she felt a lot of “frustration” about constantly being asked when she planned to have her first child.
“It’s horrible,” she commented, pointing out: “It’s like, ‘You’re 32. Are you not planning to have a baby yet?’
“People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s happening.”
“It’s no one else’s business. In this day and age you shouldn’t ask questions like that,” she told The Sun.
However, it seems curious fans now have their answer as the couple seem set to welcome a 2025 newborn.
