Meghan Markle’s “remarkable impact” on the Royal Family’s Foundation has been revealed in new statistics.
The Duchess of Sussex was not a working royal for long, but she still raised a significant amount for charities and threw herself into various projects during her time in the UK.
The Royal Foundation’s 2023 annual report showed that the Duchess of Sussex’s charity cookbook, launched in 2018 to raise funds for families affected by the Grenfell fire, made a sales income of a whopping £84,540 last year.
The cookbook, Meghan’s first project as a working royal, is called Together: Our Community Cookbook and any proceeds went to mental Health and Emergency Responders programmes. It also funded more grants than the Early Years and Emergency Responders.

The sales report was posted on X by a royal journalist who branded the report “remarkable” and Sussex fans flocked to the comments section to praise the actress.
One person said: “The Hubb Community Cookbook will have a lasting impact on British communities for years to come, a testament to Meghan’s remarkable achievements during her tenure as a working member of the Royal Family.”

The Duchess of Sussex is a fan of cooking and in the release video for her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, Meghan could be seen cooking in the kitchen.
The brand is licensed to sell tableware, cookbooks and preserved goods.

Speaking about her charity cookbook in the past at the launch in 2018, Meghan claimed that it was a “tremendous labour of love.”
She said: “I had just recently moved to London and I felt so immediately embraced by the women in the kitchen .
“Your warmth, your kindness, and also to be able to be in this city and to see in this one small room how multi-cultural it was.”
Meghan stepped back as a senior member of the Royal Family in 2020, meaning that she was no longer involved with the Royal Foundation.

The figures also revealed that since the cookbook was launched it has raised £911,000.
Prince William’s Earthshot prize brought in just under £1.3 million and his homeless project brought in just under £1.6 millon.
However, the Prince of Wales did spend £1.5 million in costs, bringing his proceeds down.
