Meghan Markle’s first product from her new lifestyle brand sparked an unintended benefit for King Charles.

Earlier this week, Meghan unveiled her first limited-edition product as part of her American Riviera Orchard brand.

The Duchess of Sussex sent friends and influencers a basket including a jar of strawberry jam.

The jars of jam had a number on them from 1 to 50, indicating that there had been a limited number of the project made.

Several of the Duchess of Sussex’s friends have shared pictures of the pre-launch promotional basket they received.

However, Meghan’s jam appears to have resulted in a boost in sales for King Charles’s produce.

The King has been selling jam from the Duchy of Cornwall estate since the 1990s and has continued to sell produce from the gardens of his own private home in Highgrove.

King Charles’s Highgrove organic strawberry preserve was sold out on the estate’s website following Meghan launching her jam into the spotlight.

This week, Meghan’s friend fashion designer Tracy Robbins shared a snap on Instagram of her jar of jam, which had the numbers 17/50 printed on it alongside the logo of the royal’s lifestyle brand.

The post on Mrs Robbins’s Instagram Stories showed the jam in her hand, with the caption: “@AmericanRivieraOrchard Breakfast, lunch and dinner just got a little sweeter.”

She added: “Thank you for the delicious basket! I absolutely love this jam so not sure I’m sharing with anyone.

The label on Ms Balquier’s gifted jam said 10/50.
