Meghan Markle has shared a heartfelt message of support for Prince Harry at the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada, posting “So proud of you” alongside footage from the closing ceremony.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate her husband’s achievements at the Games.

The social media tribute came after Meghan had returned to California, having attended the opening days of the event alongside Prince Harry, 40.

The couple made several joint appearances at this year’s Games before Meghan’s departure, with Harry remaining in Canada to oversee the remainder of the competition.

A source close to Invictus confirmed Meghan’s early departure was pre-planned, stating: “This was always planned. Meghan is going home to be with her children.”

The mother-of-two returned to Montecito to be with Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.

Upon arriving home, Meghan shared glimpses of Canadian souvenirs she had brought back for her children.

The treats included chocolate bear paws, nougat, and Timbits – bite-size donuts from Tim Hortons.

She also revealed she had picked up personalised green jerseys for the children.

“A taste of Canada and The Invictus Games for our little ones!” Meghan wrote alongside the photo of the gifts.

With Prince Harry away during Valentine’s Day, Meghan shared a romantic tribute to her husband on social media.

The Duchess posted a previously unseen photograph alongside a heartfelt message about missing her Valentine.

“Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families,” she wrote.

Her tribute continued: “Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created.”

She concluded the message with a playful reference to their shared food memories: “My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you. #lovewins”

While Prince Harry continued his duties at the Games, he received notable support from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the closing ceremony.

While Prince Harry continued his duties at the Games, he received notable support from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the closing ceremony.

Addressing the athletes, Trudeau praised Harry’s dedication to the Invictus movement.

“As someone that you roped in early on in my time as Prime Minister, I can testify to the energy, the dedication, the commitment this man has to you and to this ideal,” the Prime Minister said.

In a moving tribute to the Prince, Trudeau added: “You have changed the lives of so many people for the better and for that, we all owe you the deepest debt of gratitude.”
