Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie have been labelled “old friends” with the Duchess of Sussex being “quite influential”, a commentator has claimed.
The former Suits actress admitted that she met the Princess of York before her husband Prince Harry, in her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The duchess said: “Eugenie and I had known each other before I had known Harry, so that was comfortable.
“We’re friends with them as a couple.”

Personal stylist Bella Hignett argues that Meghan and Eugenie’s close friendship is evident through their fashion choices.
She exclusively told GB News: “Both Meghan and Eugenie appreciate each other’s style.
“They are quite old friends, but I have always felt that Eugenie is quite influenced by Meghan’s wardrobe.
“In the past, Eugenie has copied a few items.”

According to Hignett, there are some key differences between the two royal women when it comes to their outfits.
She explained: “Meghan is trying to look more effortless and casual with her choices, whereas Eugenie’s is more put together and tailored.
“She’s definitely more aware of her royal standing. Meghan also wears a lot more trousers than Eugenie.”
At the beginning of Meghan and Harry’s relationship, Eugenie and her now-husband Jack Brooksbank went on double dates with the duke and duchess.

They also visited Toronto to see the couple when Meghan lived there filming Suits.
Princess Eugenie was photographed with Prince Harry at the Super Bowl in 2022 and also going for dinner with her husband and the Sussexes in Santa Barbara.
The duke and duchess’s Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, also featured the Princess of York quite heavily as a key supporter of the Sussexes.
Like Harry and Meghan, Eugenie and Jack also live abroad with their two children, choosing to move to Portugal in 2022.
