The businessman was chatting to fellow Big Brother contestant Fern Britton about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during Wednesday’s episode.

Britton expressed her sorrow for Prince William after his brother stepped back from royal duties.

She said: “My feeling is that William must be furious now to have suddenly the weight of it all on his head and his shoulders.”

Goldsmith responded: “Father, wife, brother. While they try and reshape the Royal Family and modernise it.

“I think he’s done an amazing job. In that horrible situation, managing…

“And he’s always seemed that he has had an olive branch open at any time for Harry to come back and be part of the gang.
