Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have sparked outrage among some royal fans with their latest statement.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their annual Christmas card on Monday, however, the couple omitted the phrase “Christmas” from the message.
The card read: “Prince Harry & Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation.
“We Wish You a Very Happy Holiday Season and a Joyful New Year.”

The card featured several photographs from the couple’s Nigeria and Colombia royal tours this year, as well as Prince Harry’s solo trip to Lesotho.
However, the standout feature from the Christmas card was a new picture of the couple’s children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
Several royal fans were outraged by the missing word “Christmas” from the Sussexes’ new card.
GB News presenter Ben Leo wrote on social media: “Harry and Meghan send out their Christmas cards – without the word ‘Christmas’ anywhere.

“‘Happy Holiday Season’ with pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex adorned everywhere instead.”
Someone replied: “This offends Christians all over the world.” Another added: “How very American.”
A third commented: “Holiday season is summer isn’t it?” One royal watcher posted: “Don’t bother sending a card if it’s not a Christmas card! Why bother?”
Similarly, someone said: “Gets worse every day – doesn’t even look like a Christmas card.”

“Looks like a promotional brochure,” another wrote.
A royal fan added: “The least festive, yet most self-indulgent, card from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that doesn’t actually wish anyone a Merry Christmas.”
Finally, someone said: “This isn’t a Christmas card. This is virtue signalling at its finest.”
However, many royal fans liked Harry and Meghan’s Christmas message, with one saying: “A beautiful family filled with love inspires us all. We love you back, #FamilySussex. I wish you blessings and a spectacular holiday season.”

“How dare they. Happy Christmas Harry and Meghan.”
Similarly, someone posted: “I love this photo of them. So cute.” Finally, a royal fan wrote: “Awww. Princess Lili is all grown up.”
