Royal expert Ingrid Seward has suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent solo appearances are part of a deliberate strategy.
Speaking on GB News, Seward explained, “I think what they’re doing or being advised to do is do their own thing. People spend more time concentrating on one person than they do two”.
She added that when Meghan accompanies Harry, “she seems like an appendage to Harry”.
Seward believes the couple have decided “it’s better they do things separately”, noting that this approach allows for more focused attention on their individual endeavours.
Prince Harry has recently embarked on a series of solo engagements across multiple continents.
Over the past fortnight, he has made appearances in New York, London, and South Africa, whilst his family remained in Montecito.
In New York, the Duke attended events with an African conservation group and a youth charity named after Princess Diana.
He also hosted the WellChild Awards in London, marking another significant event without Meghan by his side.
These solo trips have become more frequent, with Harry also recently attending a memorial service for his uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, in England.

Meghan Markle has also been making solo appearances, recently attending a glitzy children’s hospital gala in Los Angeles.
The couple’s joint ventures have included tours to Jamaica and Nigeria, as well as a visit to Canada to promote the next Invictus Games.

However, in the seven weeks since their four-day visit to Colombia in mid-August, the Sussexes have carried out no less than 11 engagements separately.
This shift towards individual appearances has sparked speculation about the couple’s relationship, with some sources expressing concern that they may be “drifting apart”.
However, a friend of the couple insists this is part of a new “twin track approach” to highlight their personal passions and causes.
