Police have launched a manhunt to find an 11-year-old schoolboy who “sexually assaulted” a woman in broad daylight.

The boy, who is described as white, allegedly approached the woman before touching her inappropriately, according to Northamptonshire Police.

The force is now urgently seeking eyewitnesses or anyone with information to get in touch immediately.

He was said to be wearing a black bomber jacket and blue jeans at the time of the incident in Woodford, Northamptonshire.

He later left the scene in the direction of Mill Road before the incident was reported to police.

Northamptonshire Police stated: “Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in High Street, Woodford.

“The incident happened on Tuesday, December 17, between 12pm and 12.30pm, when a boy approached a woman and touched her inappropriately.

“The suspect is described as a white boy, aged 11-12, with short, light brown hair and wearing a black bomber jacket and blue jeans. He walked away in the direction of Mill Road.

“Witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Please quote incident number 24000747520 when passing on any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible.”
