Manchester United have included Dan Gore in their 23-man Europa League squad to face FC Porto.

Gore started and captained the Under-21s against Hertha Berlin on Tuesday night but played just over an hour in that game and has travelled with the first team to Porto.

The 20-year-old was given his first-team debut by Erik ten Hag in September last year. Gore has always been highly regarded by coaches in the academy, however, he made his first appearance for eight months due to injury last week and is looking to get back up to speed again.

Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire both took part in full training at Carrington on Wednesday and have also made the squad after overcoming their respective injury concerns.

Mainoo looked to have tweaked his hamstring and was substituted just before half-time against Tottenham at the weekend and his inclusion is a huge boost for United ahead of Porto.

Although Maguire has lost his starting place to Matthijs de Ligt in the last few weeks, his presence in the squad is good news and he will be available for selection in Portugal.

Elsewhere, Mason Mount has not been included in the squad after coming off against Tottenham with a head injury. Club sources confirmed Mount did not suffer a concussion, but he hasn’t been passed fit enough to travel and he will remain in Manchester as United travel.
