Manchester Storm caused an upset in the Welsh capital as they beat Elite League leaders Cardiff Devils 4-3 after a shootout.

The game had finished 3-3 at the Vindico Arena, and with no goals in overtime, it fell to Joe Morrow to score the winner.

Devils had led 3-1 after the first period, with goals from Josh MacDonald, Andrew MacWilliam and Reid Duke.

Gianluca Estevez had kept the visitors in touch, before Alexis D’Aoust and Craig Martin levelled the scores with powerplay goals in the second and third periods.

Devils’ lead at the top of the table is now down to three points having played up to three games more than the teams below them.

Storm rise up to eighth.
