A man knocked down in a hit-and-run by a car travelling on the wrong side of the road has been left fighting for his life.
The 33-year-old was struck crossing Dickenson Road in Longsight, Manchester at about 21:30 BST on Sunday and suffered serious injuries.
Greater Manchester Police said two men, aged 19 and 21, were tracked down to a road in Salford after the car failed to stop at the scene.
The pair have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
