A couple who tied the knot – and their hands together – at a wedding ceremony during Glastonbury Festival, have said it is a “magical place”.

Alex Bee and Liam Barnett, who live in Manchester, took part in a traditional handfasting ceremony – where their wrists were bound in a demonstration of their commitment – at the site’s ancient stone circle.

Ms Bee told Radio Manchester: “We’ve been coming here together since we were pretty young so a lot of our favourite memories have been here and it does feel like special ground.”

Mr Barnett, who is a teacher, added that they chose the Worthy Farm venue because it was their “favourite place in the world”.
