Judge Howard Crowson set a provisional trial date of 16 June.

In total, Mr McRae has been charged with five counts of actual bodily harm, two counts of attempted grievous bodily harm and one count of assault on an emergency worker.

The charges relate to incidents between May and August 2023.

Judge Crowson told Mr McRae he could be brought back to Leeds Crown Court again on 4 February for a pre-trial hearing alongside his co-defendant, Andrew Beadie.

Mr Beadie is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on 21 January.
